Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called the demand a violation of Iran’s national interests after he rejected US demand that Iran halt uranium enrichment as part of a nuclear deal.
The announcement came after five rounds of talks between Washington and Tehran.
Iran has long insisted its nuclear program is peaceful and not intended for weapons development , it has enriched its uranium stockpile to a level close to that used to make nuclear weapons.
President Donald Trump, who withdrew from the 2015 nuclear deal, has threatened military action against Iran if a new deal is not reached.
