Somalia has already moved forward.

The Somali government today received three types of these aircraft, becoming the first country in Africa to receive the T129 Atak, Attack aircraft manufactured in Turkey.

These aircraft were previously purchased by Turkey from Qatar, Pakistan, the Philippines and Saudi Arabia, which recently signed an agreement to transfer them, although they have not yet been transferred.

The Somali President spoke on Saturday by phone with his Turkish counterpart, a strong cooperation, defense agreement and brotherly support between Somalia and Turkey.
